Match rifle in Shooting - Rifle Shooting. Shooters can take part in British and Commonwealth competitions providing the rifle used measures a diameter of 0.3in. The shooting is usually from the back position over ranges exceeding 875yd. The course of fire ranges from 7, 10, 15 or 20 shots at 45 seconds per shot. Magnifying or telescopic sights arc permitted.
