FA Cup in Soccer. Run under the auspices of the Football Association, this is the second most important trophy in English football after the Premier League Championship. With non-League clubs able to qualify, part of the competitions appeal is the potential for minnows of the lower leagues to pull off major shocks against clubs in the Premier or Nationwide leagues. The winner of each seasons FA Cup gains a place in the following seasons European club competition, the UEFA Cup.
