Area in North Greece conquered [1913]. Also known as Greek [Macedonia] or South Macedonia. Its capital is Solun. Mostly inhabited by Greeks, [Macedonians], Vlachs and [Turks]. It used to a place where before 1948 Macedonians, Turks, Jews and Vlachs were living in peace and harmony. After the genocide that was preformed over the Macedonians, the population exchanges were done among Greece and Turkey and coming of the Greek colonizers people living there are majority Greeks.
Today at the beginning of the 21th century 700.000 Macedonians and the other smaller minority living in the Greek Macedonia havent got their minority rights and recognition yet.
