An update of the [cad monkey]: An employee who uses current BIM ie Building Information Modeling CAD program [Revit] for an architectural or engineering firm - all day, every day.
Taken from the Walt Disney term Imagineer; it is based on the false notion that Revit/BIM will somehow free the production staff to embark on some [nobler] adventure -to actually PRACTICE architecture/design- when, in fact, they are still just CAD monkeys; only with more complicated software.
