(slang verb) To keep something all for oneself, thus depriving anyone else of having any. A slang term derived from the last name of famous actor Humphrey Bogart because he often kept a cigarette in the corner of his mouth, seemingly never actually drawing on it or smoking it. Often used with weed or joints but can be applied to anything.

The traditional slang definition of Bogart:
To hold on to a joint too long without passing it on. Comes from the fact that Humphrey Bogart used to smoke like a train in his movies. So the person holding on to the joint too long is said to be bogarting it.
Other people may use this word for other purposes nowadays, but this is the traditional slang definition. Its use in this context was probably first documented in popular culture in the 1968 song Dont Bogart Me by The Fraternity of Man, featured in the Easy Rider soundtrack

It is a VERB describing an act of boldness and fearlessness as was exhibited by Bogart in most of his film roles.
You Bogart your way into your boss office when you dont care what the secretary says. You Bogart your way into traffic when no one will let you into your lane and you Bogart a joint when you could care less that anyone else is waiting for a hit.
