A dotter is a player of First Person Shooter games who cheats by drawing or gluing a dot or cross on his computer screen to [materialize] the aim line, thus giving him an unfair advantage with assault and handheld weapons.
[Dotting] can also be used efficiently to exercise the eye to focus on the aim. It can become a handicap with sniper weapons because it partially hides small or distant targets.
Dotters [get little] respect from other players and instantly become classified as noobs.
