      In track, when a runner withdraws from a race before it begins. The term originated from the days when heat sheets were written on paper, and a runners name would litterally be scratched off in pencil when he/she decided not to race.

          Verb: To [69], or conduct oral sex with your partner while they simultaneously reciprocate.
          In a more common context, the word scratch is applied to the activity of rasping, or digging with the fingers, or nails. Examples of this useage can be seen in the phrase, You scratch my back, Ill scratch yours. In this slang context, that phrase is amended to, You suck my junk, Ill lick yours. Of course, those verbs can be further amended to allow for gay/lesbian scratching, or different oral techniques.

            (n) A term for cash money, paper, skrills, etc.

            (n) Another name for [crack] cocaine, in its [base] form, before being [cut].

            (v) When ones reputation is lowered after an embarrasing act or rumor.

            (v) To kill someone. See [lay out], [hit], or [off].

            (n) A term used in the game of billiards ([pool]) to describe a technical foul in which a player hits the white cue ball into a pocket.

            (v) To forget, disregard, or never mind.

                        Scratch in Ice Hockey. The term for a player who has been scratched from his teams lineup prior to the game due to injury or a coachs decision. That player may not dress for or participate in that game.
