Mass consumption

1. To use up goods or services, either by the [consumers] or by the companies that produce [the goods] or services. Thus it leads to waste and reduction of valuable resources. For the consumer, it can lead to stress, debt, [obesity], waste, lack of space, etc.
2. The #1 thing that got us (America) into the economic mess that we are in right now. We only got ourselves to blame in this one.
