[Portales] is a small town in New Mexico.
When you first drive in there is a sign that greets you saying, “WELCOME TO [PORTALES]. Home of 17,000 friendly people (and three or four old grouches).” Which we all know it’s full of meth heads and 75 % of the population are either lazy, thieves or home-wreckers . So there’s a big fat lie, [gonto] any fast food restaurant and you will see for yourself.
Everyone knows your business and no matter how much you try to leave more than likely you’ll never leave .
There isn’t anything in Portales so we make the drive to [Clovis] (as if that’s any better) to try and and find something to do .
Portales is known for [Dairies] and Peanuts . We can all admit neither smell very good .
[Dry town] with nothing to do .
