@sarah The first person I've seen online to actually know the right meaning. I'm from the south east of England and it was only in the late 90's early 00's when I heard the term used outside my town its had been used here since the late 80's. The word was also used for a while in the 90's to describe petrol "putting jank in the tank" but mainly used for something that was disgusting.
