Caisson disease

A disease frequently induced by remaining for some time in anatmosphere of high pressure, as in caissons, diving bells, etc. It ischaracterized by neuralgic pains and paralytic symptoms. It isvariously explained, most probably as due to congestion of internalorgans with subsequent stasis of the blood.
