a style using worn and deteriorated items to achieve an elegant overall effect
chicanery:
trickery or deception by [quibbling] or sophistry
[Shabby chicanery]:
Constant failed attempts at using second-hand items in ones home decor to achieve a look of false elegance. Result is invariably much more Salvation Army than Apres-La-Guerre.
