Kohlrabi - also known as German Turnip. A low, stout [cultivar] of the cabbage that will grow almost anywhere. It has been selected for its swollen, nearly spherical shape. The name comes from the German [Kohl] (cabbage) plus Rübe ~ [Rabi] (Swiss - German variant) (turnip), because the swollen stem resembles the latter.

Colerobi -The union of two loved ones. The name comes from the Massachusetts Cole (cool) plus [Robi] ~ Robin (Alaska - Atlanta native) (lovely little bird), because the combination is pleasing.

[Couch Potatoe]

A cabbage of a variety with an edible swollen stem.

[Little_Girl]

A hybrid of cabbage and turnips; the pale green or pale purple bulbous stem is mild and sweet when young. The bulb tastes like a mild, sweet turnip. Kohlrabi is available from midspring to midfall.
