When Jesus Christ, the Lord God Almighty, comes down from heaven, and shouts with a loud voice to gather everyone ,who put their trust in Him, to be with Him forever and ever. Amen. The dead in Christ shall rise first, and then the rest of the believers on earth shall follow. When the rapture occurs, God will give his children a new glorious body as He wills.
The term rapture is not used in the bible. Contrary to popular beliefs, the rapture will most likely not occur June 06, 2006, because no man knows the time and the hour. Everyone who says that the rapture will occur this certain time is a false prophet. Jesus says he will come like a thief in the night, warning us to be ready for his coming. AND, all people who truly put their trust in Jesus Christ WILL BE RAPTURED, not just the worthy people who think they are holy.
Its not a question of if its going to happen... its a question of when, and are you ready for it?! To christians, this is the ultimate hope that we have, that we will be with the Lord forever. Words cant describe how glorious the day will be for believers.

The English derivative of the Greek word RAPTURO, which means “to be removed quickly.” The rapture is an event in the Bible in I Thessalonians Chapter 4, that will occur in the last days, in which Jesus Christ will literally descend out of the clouds and call all believing Christians—living and dead—to come up to heaven to dwell with him as a reward for their faith. The dead Christians will be raised to life in resurrection as the living Christians join them in the air. The unbelievers left behind will go through seven years of severe trial and tribulation under the antichrist, a world leader that will have control of the entire earth before Christ returns for his second coming. According to many Biblical theologians and scholars the rapture is the next major prophetical event to occur, but Jesus said no one knows the day nor the hour, but his Father (Elohim, Jehovah) only.
                I Thessalonians 4: 15-17:
According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep in him. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a loud command with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we which are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.
The word RAPTURE is not found in the Bible, but is simply an English derivative of the Greek word RAPTURO, which means “to be taken up quickly.” The Rapture will occur suddenly and without warning, whos purpose is to reward believers and punish unbelievers. Jesus said “it will come like a thief in the night.” This is why we need to repent and to turn to him for our salvation and the forgiveness of sins now. It’s not a matter of IF it will occur but WHEN.
