A term usually seen on [furry] art sites such as [DeviantART], [Inkbunny], etc. An adoptable is a custom-made cartoon/furry character, specificly made to be sold to someone who is unoriginal and/or too lazy to make their own unique character. Adoptables are usually auctioned off and end up going for ridiculous amounts, even surpassing at times.
