Costume in Highland Games. In all the heavy events, competitors must wear Highland attire, i.e. kilt and sporran. In the athletic events, competitors must wear bibs and are banned from advertising on their clothes except for the sponsoring companies. In the catch-as-catch-can style of wrestling, competitors must wear jock straps and shorts with stockinged feet or rubber gym shoes.
