A diseased condition produced by eating rye affected with
the ergot fungus.

Leg cramps, usually brought on by ingestion of alkaloids derived from or related the [ergot] fungus (which primarily feeds on rye). Such alkaloids include ergotamine, [LSA] (found in certain varieties of [Morning Glory Seeds]), LSD, and several others. It is a good sign you need to lay of the A for a while.
