Import duty is a tax levied by a government on goods that are brought into the country from abroad. The purpose of this duty is to protect the countrys economy and businesses by controlling the volume of foreign goods entering the market, typically by raising their price and thus making domestic products more competitive. It may also serve as a source of revenue for the government. The rate of import duty can vary depending on the type and origin of the goods.

RE: drug addict
A drug addict is an individual who is dependent on a substance, often illicit, in a way that the consumption of the substance interferes with their mental, physical, or social well-being. This dependence often disrupts their everyday life, causing them to prioritize the acquisition and use of the substance over other aspects of their life, hence leading to behavioral, health, and social problems. Drug addicts typically also demonstrate increased tolerance towards the drug, withdrawal symptoms when not using, and difficulty in controlling their use despite the negative consequences.

RE: Private property
Private property is a system that allocates particular objects like pieces of land to particular individuals to use and manage as they please, to the exclusion of others and to the exclusion of any detailed control by society. In legal terms its usually a designation for the ownership of property by non-governmental legal entities. Private property is distinguishable from public property which is owned by a state entity and from collective or cooperative property which is owned by a group of non-governmental entities. Certain political philosophies such as anarchism and socialism make a clear distinction between private and personal property while others blend the two together. Private property is a legal concept defined and enforced by a countrys political system.

RE: carnation family
Caryophyllaceae, commonly called the pink family or carnation family, is a family of flowering plants. It is included in the dicotyledon order Caryophyllales in the APG III system, alongside 33 other families, including Amaranthaceae, Cactaceae, and Polygonaceae. It is a large family, with 81 genera and about 2,625 known species. This cosmopolitan family of mostly herbaceous plants is best represented in temperate climates, with a few species growing on tropical mountains. Some of the more commonly known members include pinks and carnations (Dianthus), and firepink and campions (Lychnis and Silene). Many species are grown as ornamental plants, and some species are widespread weeds. Most species grow in the Mediterranean and bordering regions of Europe and Asia. The number of genera and species in the Southern Hemisphere is rather small, although the family does contain Antarctic pearlwort (Colobanthus quitensis), the worlds southernmost dicot, which is one of only two flowering plants found in Antarctica. The name comes from Caryophyllus, an obsolete synonym of Dianthus.

RE: Earphone
Headphones are a pair of small loudspeaker drivers worn on or around the head over a users ears. They are electroacoustic transducers, which convert an electrical signal to a corresponding sound. Headphones let a single user listen to an audio source privately, in contrast to a loudspeaker, which emits sound into the open air for anyone nearby to hear. Headphones are also known as earphones or, colloquially, cans. Circumaural (around the ear) and supra-aural (over the ear) headphones use a band over the top of the head to hold the speakers in place. Another type, known as earbuds or earpieces consist of individual units that plug into the users ear canal. A third type are bone conduction headphones, which typically wrap around the back of the head and rest in front of the ear canal, leaving the ear canal open. In the context of telecommunication, a headset is a combination of headphone and microphone.
Headphones connect to a signal source such as an audio amplifier, radio, CD player, portable media player, mobile phone, video game console, or electronic musical instrument, either directly using a cord, or using wireless technology such as Bluetooth, DECT or FM radio. The first headphones were developed in the late 19th century for use by telephone operators, to keep their hands free. Initially the audio quality was mediocre and a step forward was the invention of high fidelity headphones.Headphones exhibit a range of different audio reproduction quality capabilities. Headsets designed for telephone use typically cannot reproduce sound with the high fidelity of expensive units designed for music listening by audiophiles. Headphones that use cables typically have either a 1/4 inch (6.35mm) or 1/8 inch (3.5mm) phone jack for plugging the headphones into the audio source. Some stereo earbuds are wireless, using Bluetooth connectivity to transmit the audio signal by radio waves from source devices like cellphones and digital players. As a result of the Walkman effect, beginning in the 1980s, headphones started to be used in public places such as sidewalks, grocery stores, and public transit. Headphones are also used by people in various professional contexts, such as audio engineers mixing sound for live concerts or sound recordings and DJs, who use headphones to cue up the next song without the audience hearing, aircraft pilots and call center employees. The latter two types of employees use headphones with an integrated microphone. -
