RE: Homoeroticism
When one is attracted (and aroused) by people of the same sex as them but this act is not perceived as homosexual
Homophobia is fueled by heterosexuals who exaggerate the gender norms assigned by our society to validate their sexuality. Paradoxically, heterosexuals have found a way for homoeroticism to be socially acceptable while still placing negative emphasis on homophobia. By developing techniques to normalize heterosexuality and “other” homosexuality, the dominant group continues to mistreat and alienate those who are different from them. Homophobia targets marginalized groups that ultimately reproduces sexism, racism, and classism. -
RE: Woodshed
AKA shedding, woodshedding is one of the most ambiguous jazz terms around (but the version I learned from old time players will be posted here). Sheddin is the act of intensely practicing your instrument after being publicly humiliated by your bad playing. This humiliation might be from a terrible solo or from not knowing the key the piece is played in (not being able to improvise in all keys). Shedding usually includes

Noun - An orbit is 2 or more LED lights (most often photons or inovas) attached back to back with a string running between them. The sting is held at either end while the lights are moved in a circular motion to wind it up. Then when the string is pulled the lights spin and this is repeated. They are used at raves or clubs to give light shows. Many different effects can be achieved (such as stars, flowers and slinkies) depending on how the orbit is moved.

WWW
Stands for World Wide Web. It is important to know that this is not a synonym for the Internet. The World Wide Web, or just the Web, as ordinary people call it, is a subset of the Internet. The Web consists of pages that can be accessed using a Web browser. The Internet is the actual network of networks where all the information resides. Things like Telnet, FTP, Internet gaming, Internet Relay Chat (IRC), and e-mail are all part of the Internet, but are not part of the World Wide Web. The Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is the method used to transfer Web pages to your computer. With hypertext, a word or phrase can contain a link to another Web site. All Web pages are written in the hyper-text markup language (HTML), which works in conjunction with HTTP.

Video Card
Most of the processing done on a computer is done via the computers central processing unit, or CPU. So in order to give the CPU a break and help it run more efficiently, a video card can be used to process the graphics portion of the processing load. Because most of todays programs are graphically oriented, the video card can help almost any program run more efficiently. However, the difference in performance is especially noticeable in image editing applications and 3D games.
Video cards, also called graphics accelerators, can speed up both 2D and 3D graphics rendering. Programs such as photo editors and Web browsers may benefit from 2D acceleration, while CAD design programs and video games will most likely benefit from the cards 3D acceleration. Some programs rely so heavily on the video card, that they will not run if a supported video card is not installed.
Most video cards support the OpenGL and DirectX libraries. These libraries include commands for manipulating graphics that programmers can include in their code. Some of these commands may include moving or rotating an object, morphing polygons, or casting light and creating shadows. By using standard OpenGL or DirectX functions, it makes it easier for developers to create graphically-oriented programs. Of course, it also makes it necessary for the computer to include a supported video card in order for the program to run.
Video cards are typically installed in either the PCI or AGP slots in the back of a computer. Most computers come with a video card installed in one of these slots, which means it can be upgraded at a later time.
