Badass style is understated but instantly recognizable. Like a chopped Harley or a good pair of sunglasses: simple, direct, and functional.

The badass is an uncommon man of supreme style. He does what he wants, when he wants, where he wants. You wont find him on [facebook], [myspace], [msn] et cetera because he is probably out being cool somewhere. He might be on a motorcycle, but its probably not a [Harley] or a [crotch rocket] because he wont spend that much money to be accepted. Traditionally, he will smoke, but its not necessary at all. He feels no obligation whatsoever to justify his beliefs, values, convictions, morals et cetera with anyone. He likes his music because it sounds cool to him. You wont find him if you look for him because there is no sure way to identify him. One does not think that he is badass; he KNOWS it and thats that. Alternatively, a badass is the complete opposite of a [douchebag].
Likely to be found in a popular pub taking your money on the pool table then buying you a beer with it, you wont identify him by his clothing because there is no badass uniform. Hes probably not sporting the latest fad, hes not wearing jeans, and he doesnt have frosted hair. Hes always up for a challenge, hell probably succeed and he seems to be good at everything. But at the same time, the badass attitude is like: ok well I dont give a shit.
Genuinely intriguing and intrigued by others, he radiates confidence in everything he does and fears nobody. He wont pick a fight but DO NOT fuck with him, because he will beat the shit out of you with his bare hands. Hes taken more punches to the face than you have, and hes probably busted a few knuckles (on more than just the kitchen cabinets in the dark). Treats people with respect up to the point where they cross the line with him. Keeps his cool but wont be pushed around. He does not justify insecurities by bringing others down; hell accept everyone to have as much fun as he is having regardless of what they look like.
In general: the behavior and appearance of the badass are as unique and indescribable as he is, because he is not part of a group or class, hes too cool for words. Hes fucking badass.
By the way, just because [Dane Cook] claims to be a [BAMF], that does not make him a badass. That makes him a [douchebag]. Do you get it now?

A badass isnt someone wears ripped leather jackets, a badass isnt someone who breaks stuff to look tough, and a badass isnt someone who fights for the fun of fighting. Thats the definition of a [poser]. Being a badass is completely different.
Unspoken Rules of Being Badass:

First rule of being a badass. A badass does not talk about being a badass. Period.

Second rule of being a badass, a badass does not try to be a badass or look tough. A badass simply is a badass.

A badass stays true to themselves, always. This means being themselves for themselves, and not being fake to impress others.

A badass does not give up. Badasses will always push themselves for the better, no matter how hard it gets.

A badass is not a jerk. A badass does not prey on the weak, and shows kindness in return to those who are kind.

A badass knows his/her limits. Dont be stupid, youre not [Superman], youll die if you jump off a building.

A badass does not make enemies or go looking for fights. They do not fights that arent worth fighting either.

Any breaking of these rules is grounds revoking of the status of being a badass. If this happens, a badass must once again prove they are worthy of being badass by following the rules. A badass can only be determined by the opinions of others.

Entered service at: Troy, N.Y. Birth: Troy, N.Y. G.O. No.: 35, 9 May 1945. Citation: For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty at Saipan, Marianas Islands, from 20 June through 7 July 1944. When assault elements of his platoon were held up by intense enemy fire, Lt. Col. OBrien ordered 3 tanks to precede the assault companies in an attempt to knock out the strongpoint. Due to direct enemy fire the tanks turrets were closed, causing the tanks to lose direction and to fire into our own troops. Lt. Col. OBrien, with complete disregard for his own safety, dashed into full view of the enemy and ran to the leaders tank, and pounded on the tank with his pistol butt to attract 2 of the tanks crew and, mounting the tank fully exposed to enemy fire, Lt. Col. OBrien personally directed the assault until the enemy strongpoint had been liquidated. On 28 June 1944, while his platoon was attempting to take a bitterly defended high ridge in the vicinity of Donnay, Lt. Col. OBrien arranged to capture the ridge by a double envelopment movement of 2 large combat battalions. He personally took control of the maneuver. Lt. Col. OBrien crossed 1,200 yards of sniper-infested underbrush alone to arrive at a point where 1 of his platoons was being held up by the enemy. Leaving some men to contain the enemy he personally led 4 men into a narrow ravine behind, and killed or drove off all the Japanese manning that strongpoint. In this action he captured S machineguns and one 77-mm. fieldpiece. Lt. Col. OBrien then organized the 2 platoons for night defense and against repeated counterattacks directed them. Meanwhile he managed to hold ground. On 7 July 1944 his battalion and another battalion were attacked by an overwhelming enemy force estimated at between 3,000 and 5,000 Japanese. With bloody hand-to-hand fighting in progress everywhere, their forward positions were finally overrun by the sheer weight of the enemy numbers. With many casualties and ammunition running low, Lt. Col. OBrien refused to leave the front lines. Striding up and down the lines, he fired at the enemy with a pistol in each hand and his presence there bolstered the spirits of the men, encouraged them in their fight and sustained them in their heroic stand. Even after he was seriously wounded, Lt. Col. OBrien refused to be evacuated and after his pistol ammunition was exhausted, he manned a .50 caliber machinegun, mounted on a jeep, and continued firing. When last seen alive he was standing upright firing into the Jap hordes that were then enveloping him. Some time later his body was found surrounded by enemy he had killed His valor was consistent with the highest traditions of the service.

A badass is loyal.

A badass gives respect only to the people who deserve it, no matter who the fuck they are or how old they are.
