Runs in Rounders. While making a run the batter must always pass on the outside of the post. In order to reach the fourth post the batter must stop at each post on the way round while still carrying the bat. When stationary at a post, the batter should remain in contact with the post at all times either by hand or bat until the bowler has put the ball into play. At no time must more than one batter be at a post, and a run is invalid if the player leaves their post before the ball has been bowled.
